That means rumours have begun circulating about the stars and, er, politicians, that could be heading Down Under under the watch of long-time hosts Ant and Dec.
Really anyone could be signed up by I’m A Celeb bosses, although speculation is rife they’ve already tempted a This Morning star, a soap actor and, yet again, a controversial politician.
Let’s take a look at all the rumoured campmates for I’m A Celebrity 2023.
She’ll be hoping she lasts longer in the jungle than as prime minister…
A source revealed ITV bosses were ‘hellbent’ on snapping up the 38-year-old because ‘she’s incredibly down-to-earth and seems to strike a cord with people at home.’
They continued to The Sun: ‘They’re confident Josie will bring the laughs to I’m A Celebrity as she already does on This Morning and is guaranteed to get on with most of the jungle campmates.’
Catherine Tate may be best known for comedy, including the recent BBC show Queen of Oz, but hasn’t ruled out an appearance on I’m A Celeb, although she does have one condition when it comes to the bushtucker trials.
She told: OK: ‘I’m A Celebrity – I’m not saying never, I’m just saying, not now. I could literally do anything in the jungle, you could put me with rats and bury me underground, anything like that – but I couldn’t be eating that old gear they give you.’
Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall, who has been paying mechanic Tyrone Dobbs on the soap since 1998, is rumoured to be swapping Weatherfield for the jungle.
‘Tyrone is one of Corrie’s most-loved characters so Alan comes with a ready-made fan base,’ a source told The Sun.
They continued: ‘Alan is a top lad with bags of personality so ITV are over the moon he’s in talks to join their 2023 cast.’
Tom Skinner shot to fame in 2019 on BBC’s The Apprentice so perhaps it’s time to try his hand at an ITV reality show.
Since his time trying to impress Alan Sugar, the entrepreneur has gone viral with videos of him eating breakfasts, but would he be able to munch on creepy crawlies?
He told Virgin Radio: ‘Well, I’m bookies favourite for I’m A Celebrity this year you know, and I had a burger man at the market years ago and I’d literally eat anything so I don’t think it’d be a problem for me.’
Denise Van Outen
Denise Van Outen once told The Sun that ‘I’m A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do.’
And guess what? The Chicago actress is edging closer to the milestone birthday, having turned 49 in May.
If she took part this year, she would get her stint down under just in time for the big 5-0.
The Vivienne is the OG winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and is no stranger to reality TV, having made it to the final of Dancing On Ice.
An asked on Lorraine she would consider a flight to Oz for I’m A Celebrity, the star was full of enthusiasm.
The Vivienne told the Scottish broadcaster: ‘I’ve never thought about it but what an absolutely amazing opportunity that would be… Get me to that jungle, what a great life opportunity. I am all for that!’
According to OLBG, Frankie Dettori is the bookies’ favourite, which has estimated he has a 71.4% chance of heading to the jungle, with odds standing at 2/5.
The jockey previously took part in Celebrity Big Brother and was the fifth person to be evicted from the house – but at least he has experience in confined spaces.
I’m A Celebrity is available to stream on ITVX.
